Auburndale girls and boys top Pittsville invite

PITTSVILLE – The Auburndale boys and girls cross country teams took first place in the Aug. 29 Pittsville invitational, held Aug. 29, in Pittsville.

The Auburndale boys led second-place finishers, Wauzeka-Steuben, followed by Colby/Abbotsford, Nekoosa, Spencer, and Pittsville. Assumption and Columbus Catholic also competed.

Top boys individuals were Garrett Dolan, Assumption, finishing in 17:07.4, followed by Jake Reichmann, Wauzeka-Steuben, with 18:40.1. Rounding up the top 10 were Carl Lundgren, Auburndale; Charles Jewell, Auburndale; Chase Oehmichen, Colby/Abbotsford; Derrek Coates, Nekoosa; Dennis Mattot, Assumption; Ian Lang, Auburndale; Gavin White Eagle, Auburndale; and Zach Martin, Wauzeka-Steuben.

For the girls, Auburndale took the top spot, with Assumption in second, followed by Colby/Abbotsford, Spencer, Nekoosa, and Columbus Catholic. Pittsville and Wauzeka-Steuben also competed.

The first nine individuals were all from Auburndale, with Jordyn Karl in first with a time of 23:05.6, followed by McKenna Zieher with 23:18.6. The teammates were followed by Erricka ZZenner, Macie Schmeiser, Cristin Casey. Grace Dolan, Vanessa Mitchell, Autumn Richardson, and Lily Kloos. Willow Oehmichen rounded out the top 10.
