Waterfalls and wineries trip offered by UWSP at Marshfield

MARSHFIELD – UWSP at Marshfield will host a weekend trip exploring Wisconsin’s top wineries and waterfalls led by English Professor, Julie Tharp, on Sept. 28-29.
The trip starts with a tour and tasting at Brigadoon Winery in Tripoli, then a visit to Copper Falls State Park, Mellin, for hiking and waterfall sightseeing. Later, enjoy appetizers and wine samples at the Bayfield Winery and dinner at the historic Old Rittenhouse Inn.
On Sunday, enjoy a catered breakfast, and then explore the waterfalls at Houghton Falls and Lost Creek Falls, Cornucopia. On the way home, stop for free fruit wine samples and lunch on your own at Tamarack Farms Winery in Hayward.
Trip includes transportation, lodging, and accommodations at the lakeside Washburn Inn, appetizers, two meals, winery tour, and multiple samples. Moderate walking required.
The registration deadline is Sept. 12, but late registrations may be considered pending availability.
