MARSHFIELD – A traffic stop led to a sizable drug bust in Marshfield on Aug. 27.
Marshfield police stopped a car in the 400 block of West Park Street, when K-9 Officer Steffi indicated the presence of a controlled substance.
When officers began patting down the occupants of the vehicle, a 29-year-old Milwaukee man resisted arrest and attempted to flee the scene. Officers deployed tasers on the subject and eventually took him into custody in the 300 block of Magee Street.
The man was later admitted into the Marshfield Medical Center for injuries sustained in the chase.
The man attempted to discard a plastic baggie which was found containing 43 grams of cocaine, 180 oxycodone pills, 11 Xanax pills, two Percocet pills, and two dozen other pills, all with an estimated street value of $5,000.
Alexander Dixon is now facing seven possible felony charges of possession with the intent to deliver narcotics, felony bail jumping and resisting arrest.
