MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield School District’s new football and soccer stadium at the high school is ready for football and soccer to debut there on Aug. 30. That’s what Athletic Director Nathan DeLany said on Aug. 27, after allowing local media a sneak peek of the new facility.

DeLany said the stadium is 90-95 percent finished.

The new Heiting Community Stadium will host two varsity events on Aug. 30. The boys soccer team will host New Richmond at 4:30 p.m., and the Tiger football team faces Oshkosh North at 7:30 p.m.

DeLany says fans will only have to purchase one ticket for both events.

DeLany is reminding fans there are four main parking areas for the new stadium – the Student/Event Lot, the Circle Drive lot, the Greenhouse lot, and the bus transfer lot.

DeLany says gates will open at 3:45 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Ticket booths are located at the southeast and southwest corners of the new multi-sports complex.

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new stadium will be held prior to the Tigers’ homecoming game with Wisconsin Rapids on September 27.
