NEILLSVILLE – An anonymous donor has come forward to offer a challenge grant toward the Clark County Fairgrounds Revitalization Project (FRProject).

Rick Dailey, administrator of Clark County’s Forestry & Parks Department, said that the donor has agreed to contribute $100,000 to the FRProject once fundraising efforts reach the $350,000 donations mark.

To date, contributions received or pledged towards the FRProject total approximately $252,000; leaving a balance of $98,000 to raise to meet the anonymous donor’s challenge.

FRProject fundraising committee members will focus their efforts to bring the capital campaign to a conclusion within the coming months.  Additionally, various Clark County 4-H and FFA clubs and alumni are planning events to help reach the $350,000 donation goal.

As previously announced, the Clark County Forestry & Parks Committee has prepared their department’s 2020 calendar year budget to include a dollar for dollar match of all past, current, and future fundraising efforts. Upon final approval of the 2020 department budget by the Clark County Finance Committee and the Clark County Board of Supervisors, plans to proceed with permitting and the construction bid process will commence.

Donations may be made to the Clark County Community Foundation, Inc ., 301 N. Main St., PO Box 116, Loyal, WI, 54446.
