Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department offering fall programs

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department offering the following programs this fall:
Youth tennis lessons for ages four and up begin the week of Sept. 24, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes will be held for five weeks at the indoor tennis court in the former City Hall Plaza.
Little Tyke Soccer, for ages three to five, will be held Saturdays, Sept. 7-28 at Griese Park, Figi Field. Little Strikers, for three-year-olds, will run 9-9:30 a.m.; Midfield Mayhem, for four to five-year-olds, will run 9:45-10:30 p.m.
Youth gymnastics classes will begin Nov. 4, for ages three and a half and up. Classes will be held for five weeks at the Marshfield Senior High Fieldhouse gymnastics area.
Boys and girls basketball for grades four to six begins Oct. 12, 8:30-9:45 a.m., at the Marshfield Middle School. Classes will be held for five weeks. Students will participate in skills and drills, placing emphasis on dribbling, passing, defense and shooting, along with basketball games to put the skills together.
Kiwanis Basketball League is bringing back its youth basketball program, on Saturdays, December 7, 8, 15 and January 4, 11, 18, 25 at the Marshfield Middle School gyms.
Open gym and swim at Marshfield High School will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 16. The pool will be open from 5:45-7:45 p.m. and the gym from 6:30-8 p.m.
One-day art classes for ages four to five with parent and grades one to six. Classes will take place at the 2nd Street Community Center Arts and Craft room.
Pumpkin carving will be held on Oct. 26; ornament making will be held on Nov. 6; and gingerbread decorating will be held on Dec. 14.
