Wood County Sheriff seeks information in School Forest incident

MARSHFIELD – The Wood County Sheriff’s Department is seeking information on some criminal damage that occurred at the Marshfield School Forest, located in the town of Rock.
Damage occurred to a wood burning fire place and chimney, when an item was dropped down the chimney from the roof of a building on the property, which exploded and caused significant damage. The fireplace was installed in the building five years ago at a cost of $6,000.
The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between noon on Aug. 21 and the late morning hours of Aug. 22.
