MARSHFIELD – The Kentucky Headhunters were the headliners of day three at the Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield. The Grammy Award winners played for about 90 minutes after a somewhat rare occurrence at the fair – an opening act.

Country duo Brent and Kyle, featuring Stratford native Kyle Leonhardt, played a handful of songs to open last night’s grandstand entertainment.

Executive Director Dale Christiansen said it was a great combination.

Christiansen said the first three days of the six-day fair were well-attended, and in some cases, were running ahead of last year’s numbers.

Christiansen is looking forward to a great start to the weekend, with Smash Mouth coming in tonight.

Stetsin & Lace will perform in the Family Entertainment tent at 8:30 p.m. tonight and tomorrow night.

The Open Class Dairy Show starts today as well, replacing the Junior Fair which ended yesterday.
