Stolen bits
On August 13 at 11:50 a.m. a Marshfield male and female reported that their drill, drill bag, and multiple drill bits had been stolen from their garage. The complainants stated that the items had started to go missing in June and that the thefts had continued up until the present. The two stated that they had recently seen a male neighbor with their drill and other items in his possession, but that when they attempted to confront him, he became upset and uncooperative.
August 15, 2019
Freeloader
On August 15 at 7 p.m. the landlord of a Marshfield residence stated that he had noticed someone staying in the residence, which belonged to a female tenant who was in the hospital. The complainant stated that he had found mail belonging to the tenant’s grandson, who is believed to be staying at the residence without permission from the tenant.
Scam
On August 15 at 12:01 p.m. a Marshfield female reported that she had been scammed out of $4,950. The female stated that she had received texts from an unknown person claiming to be from an unnamed company who represented a famous celebrity. The female also received related messages from somebody claiming to be with the FBI. Both contacts requested money from the victim, who complied out of fear of repercussions and purchased Amazon, Walmart, and iTunes gift cards. The cards, which totaled $4,950 dollars, were sent to the scammers in return for a check that turned out to be fake.

Assault
On August 19 at 3:30 p.m. a Marshfield female reported that she had witnessed a male subject, who appeared to be younger, physically assault a Unity male on the side of Cedar Avenue in Marshfield. The complainant reported that the attacker appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s and was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. The victim was transported to the Marshfield Medical Center to receive treatment for his injuries. His attacker was unknown to the complainant.
Drone dispute
On August 19, a Marshfield female reported that a drone routinely hovered near and above her residence. The complainant stated that the drone was operated by a 55-year-old Marshfield male. Contact was made with the male, whose intentions did not appear to be in violation of any law. The male indicated his understanding of the complainant’s concerns and said that he would speak with her regarding the issue.
