Marshfield Police Blotter: August 6-12

August 6, 2019
Past curfew
On August 6 at 2:43 a.m. an officer observed three individuals who appeared to be between the ages of 12 and 16 walking down West 5th Street in Marshfield. The officer made contact with the individuals, who were all under the age of 18 and in violation of curfew. One of the individuals, a 14-year-old Marshfield male, was found to be in possession of illegal items including THC, an electronic smoking device for smoking nicotine, and tobacco.
August 7, 2019
Domestic dispute
On August 7 at 9:58 p.m. it was anonymously reported that there was a woman who was screaming for help in a Marshfield apartment complex. Officers located and made contact with the woman, who had been involved in a disturbance with another male in their apartment. After investigation, the man was arrested for disorderly conduct and domestic abuse.
August 11, 2019
Bar stool v. male
On August 11 at 12:35 a.m. it was reported that a 21-year-old Marshfield male had punched another Marshfield male before proceeding to hit another male with a bar stool. The 21-year-old was arrested on charges of battery and substantial battery.
August 12, 2019
Fraudulent checks
On August 12 at 1:12 p.m. an employee of a Marshfield transportation company reported that fraudulent checks were being cashed with the company’s information on them. Three checks had been attempted to be cashed. Only one check for $2,400 was cashed, the other two were stopped by the company’s bank. The complainant reported that the checks that were used were identical to ones that the transportation company uses for holiday bonuses and that no one was given permission to create and use them.
