Support the Smallest Fighters on Sept. 21

MARSHFIELD – An event to raise awareness for childhood cancer, and support families who have been affected by childhood cancer, will be held Sept. 21 at Wildwood Park.

The “Support the Smallest Fighters” two-mile walk/run and Kids Fun Run will benefit Marshfield Clinic Health Systems Pediatric Cancer Care.

According to the American Cancer Society, cancer is the most common cause of death by disease for children in America, and 1 in 285 children are diagnosed with cancer before their 20th birthday.

Registration for the event is Sept. 21 at Wildwood Park Shelter 1, 1800 S. Roddis Ave., Marshfield, with a Kids Fun Run at 8:45 a.m. and a two-mile run/walk at 9 a.m.
