Marshfield Police Blotter: July 29 – August 5

Theft & return
On July 29 at 11:05 a.m. a Marshfield male reported that he and his coworker witnessed an unknown male individual use bolt cutters to cut the bike lock off of the complainant’s bicycle and proceed to ride the bike away. A description of the male and surveillance footage were provided but authorities were still unable to identify the male. Later, the 42-year-old Marshfield male returned to the property, returned the bike, and was issued a citation for theft.
July 30, 2019
Disorderly conduct
On July 30 at 6 p.m. an employee of a Marshfield fitness center reported that there was a dog inside of a vehicle outside of the property. The owner of the vehicle, a 53-year-old Marshfield male, was located and notified of the concern. The male proceeded to cause a disturbance inside the center, as well as in the parking lot. He was ultimately arrested for disorderly conduct.
Stolen keys
On July 30 at 3 p.m. a Marshfield female reported that her keys had been stolen. The complainant stated that she had left her keys in the lock to the door of her residence when she heard a noise. She later noticed that her keys were gone. A canvas of the neighborhood was conducted but nothing was found. The incident occurred at an apartment complex on East Harrison Street in Marshfield.
August 4, 2019
The Bottle Smasher
On August 4 at 2:20 a.m. a police officer on routine patrol witnessed a male smashing glass beer bottles near South Central Avenue in Marshfield. The officer made contact with the male who turned out to be a 31-year-old Marshfield male with two active warrants out for his arrest. The male was also found to be in possession of THC, drug paraphernalia, and prescription medication without a prescription. The suspect was arrested and taken to the Wood County Jail.
August 5, 2019
Drug bust
On August 5 at 12:03 a.m. an anonymous party reported possible drug use in a Marshfield residence. Contact was made with the inhabitants of the residence and officers detected the odor of marijuana. A search was conducted and multiple items of drug paraphernalia and THC were discovered. As a result, a 38-year-old Marshfield female was taken into custody.
