Marshfield man arrested for meth possession

MARSHFIELD – A Marshfield man is in custody following a traffic stop on the city’s southeast side.
On July 26, at approximately 9:41 a.m., Marshfield officers conducted a traffic stop on East Veterans Parkway and East 29th St in the city of Marshfield.
It was confirmed that the driver had a valid warrant with the Department of Corrections. A K-9 sniff was performed, which indicated the presence of controlled substance in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, two baggies of suspected methamphetamine were located near the driver’s seat, with 86 grams confiscated.
Charges were requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s office against Charles A. Williams, 26, from Marshfield for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and felony bail jumping,
Williams is currently being held on a probation hold with a $1,000 cash bond.
No other subjects were in the vehicle.
