MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth (MACY) and Marshfield Clinic Health System are conducting a survey on illicit drug use. The purpose of this study is to gauge levels of the Marshfield community’s perception and awareness of prescription drugs, heroin, marijuana, and methamphetamine use.

In 2018, over 500 participants completed the survey and results indicated the following: 83 percent of community members felt illicit prescription drug use is a moderate or serious problem in Marshfield; 81 percent felt heroin use is a moderate or serious problem in Marshfield; 80 percent are moderately or extremely concerned about the effects of heroin use in Marshfield.

The survey is intended for people who live or work in the Marshfield area. Responses are voluntary and anonymous. The survey is open Aug. 1 – Sept. 3.
