MARSHFIELD – The trial has been delayed for a Marshfield woman accused in a fatal drug overdose.
A five-day trial was scheduled to start July 8 for 29-year-old Cassandra Staab, who is already serving time for supplying drugs that led to a fatal overdose.
Staab is facing homicide charges in connection with the overdose death of 22-year-old Thomas Bychinski back in January 2017. Staab is charged with first-degree reckless homicide and first-degree recklessly endangering safety. The criminal complaint against Staab said she supplied Bychinski with fentanyl-laced heroin. Staab is already serving a three-year prison sentence for manufacturing and distributing the drug.
According to court records, no new trial date was immediately set.
