Marvel I. Scheunemann

Marvel I. Scheunemann, 96, Arpin, passed away on Sunday, June 9,
2019 at House of the Dove, Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the First
Presbyterian Church, Arpin, with her grandson Rev. Randall Van Natta officiating.
Burial will take place in Arpin Cemetery.
Marvel was born on July 24, 1922 in Marble Rock, Iowa to Fred and Myrtle (Sours)
Flewellen. She was united in marriage to Edward G. Scheunemann on July 1, 1940
in Arpin. He died on March 11, 2003.
Marvel had been employed as a bookkeeper for over 30 years at JC Penny’s in
Marshfield. She and her husband had been very active in the Arpin community
and Marvel was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a longtime
member of the First Presbyterian Church in Arpin.
She is survived by her children, Gail Van Natta of Wisconsin Rapids, Danie
(Loretta) Scheunemann of Arpin, James (Cindy) Scheunemann of Arpin and
Pamela Berdan (Rick) of Arpin. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Randall
(Kay) Van Natta of Wisconsin Rapids, Mark (Carol) Scheunemann of Arpin, Corey
Scheunemann of Marshfield and Adam (Amber) Berdan of Spencer and 3 great
grandchildren, Christian Scheunemann of Pittsville, Kylie Scheunemann of Arpin
and Mason Scheunemann of Marshfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons-in-law, Daniel Van
Natta and Ken Berdan, a great granddaughter, Elena Danielle Scheunemann,
brothers, Sheldon, Lowell and Leo Flewellen and a sister, Marla Albrecht.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in her name to House of the
Dove, Marshfield.
