Local high school athletes named to all conference

MARSHFIELD – All-conference baseball, softball, and soccer teams have been announced for 2019.

Marshfield’s Ryan Krueger and his Tiger teammate Mason Coffren were unanimous first-team designees for the Wisconsin Valley’s All-Conference Team. Their teammates Ben Gust, Will Voss, and Brant Bohman earned second-team honors. Preston Wagner was an honorable mention selection.

The Marshfield Tiger softball team had three of its members chosen for the Wisconsin Valley first-team all-conference softball squad this year. Jenna Jakobi, Rhiannon Corozolla, and Jordan Pretsch made the team, while Jakobi was recognized as the Player of the Year in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. Courtney Donahue and Taylor Barwick were chosen as second-team all-conference selections, while Loryn Jakobi was an honorable mention.

For the All-Conference softball team in the Marawood South Division, Mackenzie Raab and Teryn Lau of Auburndale were unanimous first-team selections. Their Apache teammates Alexis Soppe, Natalie Aue, and Abby Koopman were second-team all-conference selections. Hailey Grimm and Maggie Willfahrt were honorable mentions.

Mariah Zawislan was Stratford’s lone first-team representative. Paige Kolbeck of Stratford was a second-team designee. Tiger teammates Mazie Nagel and Syd Boeger were honorable mentions.

Brooke Neider of Marshfield Columbus was a first-team choice in the Eastern Cloverbelt Conference. The Dons placed Maren Seefluth and Annie Baierl on the second team. Addison Baierl was honorable mention.

Not only was Spencer’s Tiffany Meinders on the all-conference first team, she was named the 2019 Eastern Cloverbelt Conference Player of the Year. Spencer’s Shaelee Neitzel and Aryiah Schuh were honorable mentions.

In high school soccer, Marshfield Tiger teammates Nina Hashimoto and Ana Paape were named all-conference first-team members in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. Their teammates Mikayla Brueggen, Kate Schilling, Nicole Simon, and Paige Preston were all honorable mention choices.

The Marshfield High School boys tennis team has several selections for the 2019 Wisconsin Valley All-Conference team for this season. Jared Cordova and Will Fay were first team doubles selections. Sam Haessly and Calvin Lawler were second-team singles honorees. Sam Roherty and Lucas Paulman were chosen for the second team doubles roster. Ryan Paulman was honorable mention as a singles player.
