Local teams place in Baseball Classic

MARSHFELD – The Marshfield Baseball Classic took place June 7-9 as part of the Badger State Games at the Steve J. Miller Recreation Area, Marshfield. The tournament welcomes youth baseball players ages 9-16 in the 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U brackets.

Final results were: 10U: Valley Stars, Eau Claire, first; COT Fire, Stratford, second; Wisconsin Rapids Rage, third; and Marshfield Sandlot, fourth. 12U: Chippewa Falls Bombers, first; New Richmond, second; and Wisconsin Rapids Rage, third. 14U: Orange Crush, Wausau-Merrill-Antigo, first; DC Everest Evergreens, second; Wausau Comets, third; and Onalaska Hilltoppers, fourth. 16U: Marshfield Sandlot, first; Chippewa Falls, second; and Central Wisconsin Red Raiders, third.

Marshfield welcomed 9U, 11U, 13U, and 15U, June 14-16.

Final results were: 9U: Plover, first; Altoona, second; Hallie Heat, third; and Wisconsin Rapids, fourth. 11U: Marathon, first; DC Everest, second; and Hallie Heat, third. 13U: Onalaska, first; Central Wisconsin Arsenal – Medford, Abbotsford, Edgar, and Marathon, second; and Hallie Heat, third. 15U: Oconomowoc, first; Plover Nationals, second; Wausau Wolves, third; and Eau Claire River Bandits, fourth.
