Gateways celebrates new location

MARSHFIELD – A ribbon cutting ceremony was held June 6 to celebrate the new location of Gateways Counseling and Day Treatment Center.
Gateways was formed in 2017 by Michelle Messick, starting as a substance abuse counseling agency in three small suites in downtown Marshfield.
In late 2018, Gateways Counseling moved to 1905 S. Central Ave. ,Marshfield, and on Jan. 1, Messick opened in the expanded 3,000 square foot building. In the new building, Gateways added new treatment programs including behavioral health, group therapy, custody re-unification counseling, play therapy, marriage and family counseling, cognitive and life skills therapy, telehealth, neuro-psychology, psychiatry, narcotic treatment program, and medication management. In February, Gateways substance abuse day treatment center officially opened.
