GRANTON – The Granton Area School District will host their fifth annual Sweet Treat Social on June 8, at 6:30 p.m., in the Granton Community Center.

The annual sweet treat auction event will then begin at 8:00 p.m., featuring many desserts made by Granton Area School staff and Foundation board members.  The desserts are on display prior to the event so guests have the chance to vote for the “People’s Choice” award, which is the last item auctioned off in the evening. There are also a few drawings for items available at the event and door prizes.

Presale tickets are available for the event at Roger’s Grocery store, Citizen’s State Bank in Granton, the Granton School District office or any Foundation board member.  Current board members are John Richmond, Omar Young, Courtney Schoessow, Cheryl Steinbach or Mark Elmhorst.

All funds raised at the event are used to support various programs at Granton School.  Teachers are given the opportunity to apply for grants each semester from the foundation in order to obtain funds for many different resources, which may not be part of the regular school district budget.

If you are not able to attend this fundraising event, but are interested in supporting the foundation, please contact Cheryl Steinbach, treasurer, at [email protected] or 715-937-4838.
