MARSHFIELD – As Marshfield-based Nelson-Jameson, Inc. experiences significant growth, it will be moving its headquarters into the former Figi’s Corporate Office Building, located at 3200 S. Central Ave., Marshfield, this fall.
To better serve their existing customer base, and position the company for additional growth, Nelson-Jameson has been expanding their workforce, investing in people, equipment and facilities, creating a need for additional office space.
“We have been evaluating our options for some time, knowing that we would need expanded offices in Marshfield in the near future,” said Adam Nelson, vice president of technology and vice chairman. “While Figi’s closure was an unfortunate blow to the community, it also offered us a unique opportunity. This building gives us the room needed to accommodate our growth for the foreseeable future, while offering a top-quality work environment for our employees.”
The 64,000 square-foot former Figi’s headquarters will undergo extensive renovations this summer, with plans for 90 of Nelson-Jameson’s 210 employees to move into the space by the end of the year. Nelson-Jameson’s current location at 2400 E. Fifth Street will continue to serve as a stocking warehouse for the company with over 2.2 million cubic feet of warehouse space. Both Marshfield locations will provide the company with many years of growth potential.
A part of the Marshfield community since 1949, Nelson-Jameson has been a family-owned, golden rule supplier to the food and dairy industry for 72 years, working with virtually every cheese manufacturer in the country. Product lines include safety & personnel, production & material handling, sanitation & janitorial, processing & flow control, laboratory & QA/QC, and bulk packaging & ingredients.
The company has facilities in Turlock, CA; Twin Falls, ID; York, PA; Amarillo, TX; and Chicago, IL.
