Marshfield tennis takes first

MARSHFIELD – The final Wisconsin Valley Conference boys tennis tournament results are in and the Marshfield Tigers have finished in first place, with 83 total points. The Tigers had 48 dual points and 35 tournament points. Wausau-East was second with 74 total points, followed by Stevens Point with 72, Wausau-West with 52, D.C. Everest with 45 and Wisconsin Rapids with 31.

Marshfield’s No. 1 singles player Sam Haessly finished in fifth place. No. 2 singles player Calvin Lawler took second, while No. 3 singles player Ryan Paulman won first place. No. 4 singles player Eli Swansen grabbed a first-place finish, as did the No. 1 doubles team of Jared Cordova and Will Fay. The No. 2 doubles team of Lucas Paulman and Sam Roherty finished in second place and the No. 3 doubles team of Kennan Chojnacki and Justin Rachu took second as well.
