Glen O. Kleinschmidt

Glen Oscar Kleinschmidt, age 89, of Marshfield, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Marshfield Medical Center.

In honoring Glen’s wishes, no public service will be held.

Glen Oscar Kleinschmidt was born April 10, 1930 in Chili, WI, the son of Edward and Ida (Franke) Kleinschmidt.  He got his education by attending a small country school.  On November 10, 1956 he married Lilas Stoneburg in Spencer, WI. She survives.  Glen was employed by Michels Pipeline Corporation for many years skillfully operating pavers and Caterpillar bulldozers.  He also worked on various carpentry projects.

His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Glen was a member of the local Operating Engineers Union and lifetime member of the Southern Clark County Sportsman Club also holding the position of director for many years.

Survivors include his wife Lilas of Marshfield; his son James (Susan) Kleinschmidt of Spencer; his grandchildren: Jesse (Lori) Kleinschmidt of Altoona and Timothy Kleinschmidt of Appleton; his great grandchildren: Addison and Sierra: two brothers: Roy Kleinschmidt of Lindsey and Norbert Kleinschmidt of Chili along with other relatives and friends.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Mary, two brothers: Guy and Silas Kleinschmidt and a sister Idora Fenske.
