Annual Culture & Agriculture exhibit at New Visions Gallery
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD – New Visions Gallery is celebrating 33 years of the immensely popular annual Culture & Agriculture exhibit. An opening reception will be held May 19, 1-3 p.m.
The exhibit opens for regular gallery hours May 20 – July 26. Forty-seven Midwestern artists were juried into the exhibit, which features artwork inspired by agriculture.
Each year, the exhibit celebrates “art that has drawn inspiration from agriculture – modern or historical,” opening dialogues about agriculture, how it has affected our society, and how it will continue to shape us in the future. This is an especially meaningful theme because of the gallery’s location in the heart of Wisconsin’s Dairyland; Marshfield Clinic is also the home to the National Farm Medicine Center.
Culture & Agriculture features work in a range of media and styles by artists throughout the Midwest.
School and community group tours are available for this exhibit.
Culture & Agriculture can be viewed Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., at New Visions Gallery, located in the main lobby of Marshfield Medical Center, 1000 North Oak Ave., Marshfield.
