MARSHFIELD – Auburndale High School senior, Jenna Snortheim was named the 2019 Central Wisconsin State Fair Fairest of the Fair during a banquet held May 5 at Hotel Marshfield.
The banquet and coronation was the culmination of a week-long selection process for the candidates.
Snortheim is the president of the Auburndale FFA chapter and has been exhibiting at the fair since the first grade.
“I was Junior Fairest of the Fair two years ago, and I really enjoyed the opportunity I had,” Snortheim said. “So, I signed up to have that opportunity again because it was super fun.
“I’ve always been involved with the fair. The fair has been a family affair. We always have been at the fair; we always do stuff at the fair. The fair is kind of like the end of summer thing, like bang, before you go back to school.”
After graduating from high school, Snortheim has plans to attend UW-River Falls to study agriculture education.
Natalee Jensen, Spencer, was named Fairest runner-up.
Also crowned during the ceremony was Junior Fairest of the Fair, Madeline Hensel of Pittsville. Rainna Simone, Marshfield, was named Junior Fairest runner-up and Maya Hernandez, Wisconsin Rapids, was named ambassador.
