MARSHFIELD – Several local organizations are banding together to host The Great Area Diaper Drive May 2-18.

The goal of the drive is to help “wipe out the overwhelming diaper demand and relieve the pressures on the families that are struggling in our community.” The project is supported through the United Way, the Marshfield Area Community Foundation’s Women’s Giving Circle Fund, and the Sunrise Rotary.

Approximately one in three Wisconsin families experience a diaper need, and diapers cannot be obtained with SNAP benefits, more commonly called food stamps.

Those wishing to make monetary donations may contact the Marshfield Area United Way. Diapers may be dropped at the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Walgreens, Shopko, Target, Festival Foods, Forward Bank, Simplicity Credit Union, Pick ‘N Save, Marshfield Mall, Trinity Lutheran Church, and Christ Lutheran Church.
