Tree vs. power line
On April 3 at 1:32 p.m. it was reported that a tree that had fallen onto a power line was on fire. The complainant reported that there was a highway crew currently trying to get the fire under control and put it out. It was stated that the incident occurred right at the border where Wood County meets Juneau County.
April 4, 2019
Possible Scammer
On April 4 at 11:40 a.m. a Rudolph woman reported that at around 4 p.m. the previous day a male subject claiming to be with US Bank had come to her house. The complainant stated that the man had no credentials and was about six feet tall with brown hair and was driving a two-door light blue mid-size car.
April 8, 2019
Freeloader
On April 8 at 11:59 a.m. a Saratoga woman reported that there was an unknown individual living in the woods on her property without her permission. The complainant stated that she did not know how long it had been going on, but that she did not want the person on her property any longer.
Stolen Sprinklers
On April 8 at 1:16 p.m. it was reported that somebody had stolen 820 sprinklers from a Wisconsin Rapids business. The stolen sprinklers are estimated to have a value of $30,000.
Prowler
On April 8 at 4:57 a Port Edwards male reported that there was a suspicious vehicle parked behind the field of a youth center. The complainant stated that there were two people in the back seat but nobody in the front ones.
Suspicious Individual
On April 8 at 8:17 p.m. it was reported by a Wisconsin Rapids woman that there was a male holding a flashlight taking pictures of the front and backside of her car. The woman stated that the car alarm went off twice and that the man had since left.
