April 1, 2019
Retail Theft
On April 1 at 3 p.m. an employee of a Marshfield grocery store reported that multiple thefts had occurred, both involving the same individual. A 52-year-old Pittsville woman was arrested for the thefts.
April 2, 2019
Broken Finger
On April 2 at 1:34 p.m. a Marshfield woman reported that a 20-year-old Marshfield man had broken her finger. It was discovered that the man had a no-contact bond condition with the woman and was arrested for domestic violence, battery, and bail jumping.
April 3, 2019
Reckless Driving
On April 3 at 2:10 p.m. a Stratford woman reported that there was a vehicle driving recklessly near the Wildwood Zoo. When stopped, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found and the male driver was arrested.
A mysterious disturbance
On April 3 at 11:27 p.m. it was reported by a Marshfield woman that there was a disturbance taking place outside of her apartment. The complainant stated that the suspect had left the scene in a large red diesel pickup truck. The woman then reported that she suspected her neighbor, a 38-year-old Marshfield woman, may be involved due to their recent arguments, but the neighbor denied any involvement in the incident. Both were advised to avoid contact with each other.
April 5, 2019
Disorderly Conduct
On April 5 at 3 p.m. it was reported by a woman that a physical altercation had broken out between a 39-year-old male and a 21-year-old male, both from Marshfield. The complainant stated that the 39-year-old was upset because the 21-year-old was smoking in front of his business and proceeded to knock the cigarette out of the younger male’s mouth before slapping him across the face. The 21-year-old decided not to press charges and both were given a warning for disorderly conduct.
City Hall sign damaged
On April 5 at 11:30 a.m. an electronic sign in front of Marshfield City Hall was found to be damaged. It was reported that a dark blue PT Cruiser had been seen crashing into the sign, which was next to the Chestnut Avenue entrance to the City Hall parking lot, and damaging it before driving away.
