PITTSVILLE – Pittsville girls softball had a tough week, as they battled through three games in less than ideal weather.

The girls first met Tri-County at home on April 2, falling to them 14-3, in weather that ranged from rain to light hail.

Two days later, the Panthers met Wittenberg-Birnamwood, falling again 16-6.

On April 5, the team headed to Nekoosa, where the Papermakers shut them out 10-0.

Stats for the Pittsville girls were not made available. For Nekoosa, Marissa Harnisch, Amanda Schaefbauer, and Anna Schaefbauer each had two hits. Harnisch scored three RBIs, while Amanda Schaefbauer had two. Emily Brown, Cassandra Mortel, Zoe Sorenson, and Elise Waltenberg  each added one.

Pittsville begins the season 0-1 in the Central Wisconsin South and 0-6 overall, while Nekoosa is 0-0 in the South Central and 2-0 overall.
