Sitwala, Yakaites earn terms on Marshfield School Board

MARSHFIELD – According to voting results released by the Marshfield School District on April 4, Kajal Sitwala will get a seat on the Marshfield Board of Education. She was the top vote-getter among three registered write-in candidates in the April 2 election. Sitwala got 723 votes. Adam Fischer received 263 votes and Keith Pugh had 129 votes.
Sitwala wins a seat being vacated by incumbent Amber Kiggens-Leifheit, who decided not to seek reelection. The official canvass will be held April 9.
Meanwhile, one incumbent who did run was reelected. Dale Yakaites will serve another two-year term on the board.
Results are not official until a canvassing has been completed.
