MARSHFIELD – Both boys and girls basketball teams from central Wisconsin will be well-represented this summer, at the annual Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-Star games in Wisconsin Dells.

Scott Scheuer, head coach of the Marshfield Tigers boys basketball team, will serve as the head coach of the Division 1 White Team on June 15 at the Just-A-Game Fieldhouse. Serving as Scheuer’s assistants will be Tiger assistant Chris Fischer and Joe Konieczny, head coach of the Marshfield Columbus boys team. Two of Konieczny’s players, Jarred Mandel and Bryce Fuerlinger, will play on the Division 5 White Team. Colton Wright of Auburndale will compete for the Division 4 White team.

On the girls side, Spencer head coach Lauren Anklam will lead the Division 1 North squad on June 14. That team will feature Jenna Jakobi of Marshfield High School. In Division 4, Vanessa Lopez and Ashley Streveler of the Colby Hornets will participate as members of the North team.

The annual all-star games are used as fundraisers for the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, or MACC, Fund. Players and coaches solicit both individual donations and business sponsorships. For more information on making a contribution, visit the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association website at http://www.wisbca.org.
