WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters announced the signing of Odessa College infielders Harry Fullerton and Mason McLenna, both committed to the University of New Mexico.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Fullerton hit .361 with a .453 on-base percentage last year as a freshman. In his first year, he also collected 64 RBIs and 23 stolen bases, while slugging .541. Through 28 games this season, Fullerton is off to a strong start batting .412 and slugging .688. The 6-0 righty has 25 RBIs, 10 stolen bases, and 4 home runs. At De La Salle Cronalla High, Fullerton hit .550 and was a two-time Golden Glove Award winner, as well as High School Athlete of the Year.

“I can’t wait for the summer. It’s going to be my first summer ball season ever, so it’s going to be an amazing experience for me,” Fullerton said. “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to play every day in a high-quality league. Hopefully we can win a championship.”

McLenna also had a successful freshman campaign at the plate for Odessa. The right-handed hitter posted 59 RBIs, a .413 on-base percentage, and a .330 batting average. McLenna also had a .887 fielding percentage in 2018. The 6-2 infielder is currently hitting .429 as a sophomore with a .484 on-base percentage and a .675 slugging percentage. McLenna has knocked in 24 runs and stolen 13 bases. The Austin, TX, native attended Hyde Park High School where he was an All-District athlete and helped the team win a district title.

“I am really looking forward to playing ball with some talented guys in one of the top summer leagues in the country,” McLenna said. “Just receiving the opportunity to play for the Rafters is exciting.”

Fullerton and McLenna announced their commitment to play at New Mexico in November 2018 and were a key part of the Wranglers’ 2018 run to the NJCAA Region V Tournament. The pair will spend the summer in Wisconsin Rapids before joining the Lobos for the 2019-2020 school year.
