Joan F. Kuehn, 77, of Marshfield, WI formerly of Neillsville, WI died on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.

Joan Fay Kuehn was born on October 18, 1941 in the Town of Grant to George and Fern (West) Kuehn.  Joan attended Cunningham School and the Adult Devlopment Center in Greenwood, WI where she also worked for many years assembling hinges and helping in the kitchen.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Neillsville.

Joan will be remembered for her love of animals.  She always had puppies, kittens, rabbits, chickens and a pony around.  She also enjoyed putting puzzles together, being outdoors collecting walnuts and pinecones and loved when her family was all together.  Her cheerful laugh and smile will never be forgotten.  Joan and her mother, Fern, took great care of each other for many years.  After Fern’s death Joan spent many years in various group homes where she always made new friends.  Her family would like to thank those special people that took care of Joan, including Gold Horizon’s in Marshfield where Joan spent the last several years.

Joan is survived by her sisters; Joyce (Darrel) Hohenstein, of Granton, WI, Nancy Regner of Marshfield, WI and a brother; George Kuehn of Universal City, TX and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister-in-law, Amada Kuehn and a brother-in-law, Arthur Regner.

Funeral services for Joan will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.  Pastor Douglas Bjerke will officiate and Sharon Bjerke will provide music.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday morning prior to the service.  Interment will be in the Town of Grant Cemetery.
