Letters to the Editor: Readers write in support of Sitwala
Dear editor,
I support Kajal Sitwala as a Write-In candidate for the Marshfield Board of Education. Kajal is a dedicated parent of two children who are in the school district, and is an active community member who is engaged and informed about issues related to families and students in the public-school system. Kajal is a progressive candidate who understands that the foundation of a strong community is a strong school district, and she has a deep commitment to education.
Kajal holds an MD and PhD, was drawn to Marshfield for her career, and her family has chosen to make this community their home because of the high-quality public-school system and the people who make this community special.
A Board of Education is comprised of seven elected representatives, and we depend on those elected officials to ensure that we maintain strong, inclusive schools that nurture students to graduate and transition successful into career or higher education. Kajal is educated, committed and active in our community.
I have confidence that Kajal will bring much to the Board of Education, both with her professional expertise, as well as a valued perspective that only a parent with children in the schools can provide. Please join me and Write-In KAJAL SITWALA on April 2.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Rulka
Dear editor,
I am writing to share my support for Kajal Sitwala and for people to elect her to school board on Tuesday, April 2, as a write-in candidate.
I have worked with Kajal on several projects but the most relatable to the school board is the YES committee. This committee works to get school referendums passed. On this committee, Kajal was thoughtful and inquisitive. She worked hard and meticulously to understand all the issues around the referendum. She put in the effort to make sure the referendum passed for the benefit of our children and our community.
Kajal understands the importance of investment and will make sure our tax dollars are used wisely. Marshfield is continuously ranked as a top high school in the state of Wisconsin and compared to any district in the state; we get an amazing education for our money. Kajal will make sure this stays true.
In order to keep our schools top-quality, to meet the needs of all of our children, and to ensure our community stays strong and competitive, please elect Kajal on April 2. When you vote, remember to fill in the dot for a write-in candidate and to make sure to spell Kajal’s name correctly, “Kajal Sitwala”. Thank you for voting on Tuesday.
