Holland, Haugen qualify for individuals

By Hub City Times staff

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield gymnastics team will head to WIAA state competition after placing second at Chippewa Halls High School in Division 1 sectional competition on Feb. 23.

The Marshfield team finished with a score of 136.4, taking second only to Hudson, who finished with a 139.475.

Tiger gymnasts, Gracie Holland and Emma Haugen will also compete in state individual competition after Holland snagged firsts on the uneven bars, vaulting, and all around, and a second in balance beam. Holland will compete in state competition in all four events.

Haugen placed third in vaulting and will move on to state competition for that event.

The Tiger team will now head to state at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln on March 1. Holland and Haugen will compete in individuals there on March 2.
