Save big money at Menards
On Feb. 3 at 2:50 p.m., an employee at Menards reported that a 28-year-old Marshfield man had stolen from the store two days prior and had returned for more. The employee stated that two days after the initial theft the man, from rural Marshfield, was seen by staff taking and concealing numerous items and was caught on video surveillance leaving without paying. Later that same day, the man came back and attempted to return a stolen item. The man was taken into custody, booked, and then released. The man admitted to the theft and confessed to the name of an accomplice who had aided him, a 46-year-old Stratford resident.

Window Damage
On Feb. 5 at 12:30 a.m. a Marshfield woman reported that the front window of her home had been removed and damaged. A 20-year-old Colby male who used to live with the woman and still had property there was mentioned and officers attempted, unsuccessfully, to contact him by phone. Physical evidence collected at the scene revealed fingerprints belonging to a roommate.
Jailbird turned car thief
On Feb. 5, a Marshfield man reported that his car had been stolen. The man stated that he suspected that it had been stolen by a male who he had met in jail, who he had been allowing to stay with him intermittently.

A hotel disturbance
On Feb. 7 at 11 p.m., a woman reported a disturbance at a Marshfield hotel. Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation that resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old Lac Du Flambeau male on charges of domestic disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. The male resisted arrest and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Woman struck by juvenile
On Feb. 9 at 9 a.m., a Marshfield woman reported that she had been struck on the left side of her face by one of her coworkers, who she stated was a 17-year-old Marshfield female. Contact was made with the 17-year-old, who agreed to come to the Marshfield Police Department. From there she was interviewed and arrested.

Attempted hit and run
On Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m. a woman reported that her former boyfriend, a 35-year-old Marshfield male, had attempted to hit her with his vehicle. The man was taken into custody on charges of disorderly conduct and violation of a restraining order and was transported to the Wood County Jail.
