Crabby Dave’s to host fundraiser for Ashley Freese

By Hub City Times staff
MARSHFIELD – Crabby Dave’s in Marshfield will host a fundraiser Feb. 19-23, with proceeds going toward medical expenses for Ashley Freese.
In late 2018, Freese became ill and doctors at Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) and Aspirus were unable to determine the cause. On Dec. 28, Ashley was admitted to MCHS where she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a condition in which the immune system attacks the nerves.
Ashley’s health continued to decline and on Jan. 1, she was transferred to ICU. MCHS later determined that Ashley’s condition might be something more, and she was transported to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN; there, doctors continue their quest to help Freese.
Ashley is the mother of a very young daughter, Alaina, with husband Jon. She is the daughter of Marie and Mark Heintz. Marie is a longtime employee of Crabby Dave’s.
During the week of Feb. 19-23, Crabby Dave’s is donating a portion of their proceeds to assist the Freeze family during Ashley’s stay at Mayo Clinic.
