For the Hub City Times

STEVENS POINT – Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Central Wisconsin is in need of volunteer mentors in the Marshfield community. Currently, there are 14 boys and four girls who are waiting for a Big Brother, Big Sister, or Big Couple. Of those children, several have been waiting for over a year for a mentor.

The role of a “Big” is to provide weekly mentoring for a child or “Little” for one to two hours. Many “matches” do activities such as sledding, getting ice cream, going for a walk, or simply talking about their day.

BBBS’ mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their life for the better, forever.

To learn more about becoming a Big or enrolling your child, please visit www.bigimpact.org or call us at 715-387-6198.
