SPENCER – Some folks have the misconception that potatoes are bad and you must avoid them at all costs. Learn the truth about spuds and how they can fit into a healthy diet, during a free event at the Spencer library.

Sarah Agena, from the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association, will talk about how potatoes are a low-calorie, non-processed vegetable that can fit into nearly any healthy meal plan.

The presentation will be held Feb. 5, 9-10 a.m., at Marathon County Public Library’s Spencer Branch, 105 S. Park St., Spencer.

For more information, call 715-659-3996 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/5847.
