MARSHFIELD – The Wisconsin Valley Union team of Marshfield, Stevens Point, Waupaca, and Wisconsin Rapids girls hockey came alive in the third period to overtake the Lakeland Thunderbirds in a Jan. 24 game at Marshfield Ice Arena.
The teams were tied after Lakeland matched a Cadie Ash goal in the first period. Ash was assisted by Paige Bauer and Alayna Bruneau.
