Lucille Emma Eleanor Messerschmidt

Lucille Emma Eleanor Messerschmidt, age 95, of Marshfield, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Atrium Post Acute Care Center, Marshfield.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 604 South Chestnut Street, Marshfield. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran cemetery, Marshfield.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 am Saturday until the time of the service at the church.

Lucille was born January 24, 1923 in Chicago to the late Fred and Wilhelmina (Krueger) Senkpeil.  On July 30, 1950 she married Rev. Eldore Messerschmidt in Chicago.  He preceded her in death in 1984.  Lucille had a strong love and devotion of family which was exceeded only by her love of her Savior.

Survivors include her children; Alice (Peter) Welsh, Portage, Eldore Jr.(Dawn) Messerschmidt, Marshfield, Mark (Joy) Messerschmidt, Woodruff, Lois (Dennis) Wahrle, Janesville, Phyllis (Robert) Schneider, West Salem and Phil (Rhonda) Messerschmidt, Marshfield, 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, brother; Fredrick Senkpeil, Oswego, IL and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter and son-in-law; Judy (David) Roegge, sisters and their husbands; Esther (Henry) Zoellick and Ruth (Henry) Kamrath and sister-in-law; Virginia Senkpeil.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Hour, in care of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
