ShowCase Players to present On Golden Pond

COLBY – The ShowCase Players will present “On Golden Pond” over two weekends at Colby High School.
On Golden Pond directed Kevin Wyeth, Curtiss. Jenny Weber, Colby, is the stage manager. Greg Jackan, Marshfield, plays the curmudgeonly Norman. Keeping Norman in check is his wife Ethel, played by Neillsville Area Players member, Jill Bancroft of Neillsville. Keeping Norman and Ethel informed about the gossip on the pond and delivering the mail, is Jordan Aschenbrenner, Rib Mountain, in the role of Charlie. Playing Norman and Ethel’s daughter, Chelsea, is Terri Wiersma of Colby. Kevin Hanson, Colby, takes on the role of Bill Ray, Chelsea’s fiancé. The role of Billy Ray, Bill’s teenaged son, and Norman’s partner in crime, is newcomer Conrad Flink of Abbotsford.
To help promote literacy and patronage of our fine local libraries, the ShowCase Players is partnering with the Abbotsford, Colby, Dorchester, Greenwood, Loyal, Owen, and Withee public libraries, to giveaway two pairs of tickets per library to the show. Just stop by a participating library and fill out an entry form and deposit it in the provided entry box.
The show dates and times are Feb. 8-10 and Feb. 15-17, Friday and Saturday show times at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday show times at 2 p.m. Empty Bowls will serve soup Feb. 16, 5-7 p.m., prior to the show.
