Diana Rogers
Diana Marie Rogers, 76, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Three Oaks Health Service, Marshfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 14, 2019 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. The visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and from 12:00 pm until service time on Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church. An Eagles Auxiliary Memorial service will be held on Sunday at the funeral home.
Diana was born on April 9, 1942 in Chicago, IL and was a 1960 graduate of Spooner High School. She was united in marriage to Bernard J. Rogers on May 13, 1961 in Rice Lake. He died on October 23, 2014.
Diana and her husband owned Bernie’s Auto Repair in Ladysmith and later they leased Rock Inn Bar and then owned Rangeline Bar. Diana also worked at Conwed, Inc. in Ladysmith and at Wick Building Systems in Marshfield, for 22 years.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, the Parish Council of Catholic Women, The Fraternal Order of Eagles #624 of which she served as local President and also served as Wisconsin State president of the Eagles Auxiliary, and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local #2958 of which she served as Financial Secretary. She had been a Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Leader, helped organize 1st youth wrestling club in Rusk County and was a youth softball coach.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Rogers, Lawrence (Arlene) Rogers, Bernard C. Rogers and Joseph (Amy) Rogers. She is also survived by grandchildren, Michelle, Michael and Matthew Stender, James and Jenna Rogers, Benjamin and Bailey Rogers, and Meadow and Tanner Rogers, great grandchildren, Chelsea Lyn Dick, Jackson Brunner and one expected in July. She is further survived by brothers, Howard “Skip” Beers and Thomas (Darla) Beers and brother and sister-in-law, James and Agnes Rogers.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Sr., her father, Werner Nurmi, her mother and stepfather, Temple (Tills) and Howard Beers Sr., sisters, Janice Landwehr and Nancy Nurmi, a brother-in-law, Roland “Poncho” Rogers and a sister-in-law, Bernice.
