MARSHFIELD – Has an aging property in your neighborhood become the shining star of the block? Are you aware of someone who has done such a great job restoring or maintaining their property that they should be recognized? The Marshfield Historic Preservation Committee seeks help in identifying candidates for the 2019 Stewardship Awards Program.

To promote public awareness of preservation and restoration, the committee will present awards to property owners who have shown exemplary stewardship in historic preservation through renovation and upkeep of their property.

Any property 50 years or older, or any individual or business that is involved in historic education and promotion in the community, is eligible. Awards will be announced and presented annually or bi-annually in conjunction with Historic Preservation Month or a Marshfield Common Council meeting.

To submit a nomination, go to www.ci.marshfield.wi.us/businesses/historic_preservation/stewardship_award_program.php, print out the nomination form, and mail it to: Historic Preservation Committee, City of Marshfield, 207 W. Sixth St., Marshfield, WI, 54449 or email to [email protected]. Forms are also available at the Marshfield City Hall in the Development Services Department.

For more information, contact Marshfield City Planner Bryce Hembrook at 715-486-2074 or e-mail [email protected].
