Edna Landwehr obituary

Edna H. Landwehr, 75, Stratford, passed away on January 1, 2019 at her home.

A memorial will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford. A private burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield at a later date.

Edna was born on November 1, 1943 in Stratford, Wisconsin to Charles and Alma (Reichert) Hoefs. She married Ivan O. Landwehr on August 5, 1967, at Zion Lutheran Church parsonage in Stratford. He passed away on May 29, 1998.

Following their marriage the Landwehrs farmed in the town of Cleveland in Marathon County where Edna continued to farm with her son and daughter for 20 years following the death of her husband. She enjoyed listening to her polka music every Saturday and Sunday, bird watching, gardening, growing flowers, and selling countless amounts of raspberries and strawberries to friends and family. She also loved watching the beautiful sunrises and sunsets each day.

Edna is survived by her children, Connie Spring of Plover, Steven (Tracey) Landwehr of Williston, ND, Rick (Mary) Landwehr of Stratford, Jason (Candy) Landwehr of Eau Claire, Kelly (Dave) Schara of Edgar and Amanda (Chad) Kolbeck of Marshfield; grandchildren, Lynzi, Rocky, Savannah, Taylor, Connor, Mercadees, Alexis, Brianna, Eve, Nicholas, and Adam; and great-grandchild, Kinsley Jo. She is further survived by her siblings, Ione (Wilmer) Landwehr of Stratford, Diane (Leon) Lueddecke of Unity, and Alfred Hoefs of Stratford; in-laws, Lorraine Hoefs of Marshfield, Ellen Landwehr, Jerry (Marie) Landwehr, Eugene Landwehr, Donald (June) Landwehr, Shirley (Ernie) Johnson, Elnora Landwehr, and Betty Landwehr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother, John Hoefs; sister, Ruth Correll; nephews, Donald Hoefs, John Allan Hoefs, and Kenneth Boucher; in-laws, LaVern Landwehr, Janet Landwehr, Raymond Landwehr, Gordon Landwehr, Allan Landwehr, Jan Landwehr, Bernice Boucher, and Edward Boucher.
