Jeannine Trachte Obituary

Jeannine Trachte, beloved wife, mother and grandmother and formerly of Pittsville, WI passed away on December 28, 2018 at the Three Oaks Health Services Center in Marshfield, WI at the age of 83 years.

Jeannine Joy Trachte was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Joy (Cole) and Bernhardt Denniston on June 3, 1935. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Wisconsin Rapids in 1953.  She furthered her education earning a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Jeannine was united in marriage to Frank Trachte on September 3, 1953 in Arpin, WI. Once their six children were school aged, Jeannine worked at Marshfield Hospital as a LPN and was employed there for 26 years.   She was a creative homemaker, skilled in sewing, needlecrafts, and gardening.  She loved music and played violin at Lincoln High School where she was concertmistress her junior and senior years, she performed for numerous church events as well as participated in the Marshfield Symphony Orchestra.  Jeannine enjoyed traveling and visited each of the 50 states in addition to visiting Mexico, Canada, Spain and Ireland.  She and her husband Frank were charter members of the Evangelical Free Church in Pittsville, WI and worshiped there until they moved to Marshfield.  Jeannine was an auxiliary member of the Gideons International.

Jeannine is survived by her husband, Frank, two brothers (Neil and Noel Denniston), two sons, Scott (Elizabeth) Trachte of Tonawanda, NY and Todd Trachte of Martinez, GA and three daughters: Susan Brey of Woodinville, WA, Cynthia (Larry) Lindquist of Waterloo, SC, and Tami (Edward) Wood of North Augusta, SC.   She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents (Joy and Bernhardt Denniston), brother (Dave Denniston), son (Randy Trachte) and son-in-law (Larry Brey).

A memorial service for family and friends of Jeannine will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Crossroads Evangelical Free Church of Pittsville, WI.
