Weekly Police Blotter: Dec. 10-17, 2018
At 5:30 p.m., an Arpin woman reported that a semi made an unsafe lane change, causing her to swerve abruptly off the road way. The woman’s daughter was able to get a photo of the license plate on the back of the trailer. The owner of the semi was sent a letter asking them to contact the police regarding this incident.
I didn’t do it
At 5:29 p.m., a 56-year-old Marshfield man reported that sometime in October, a 56-year-old Marshfield woman asked to take some of his prescription medications. A Marshfield Police officer made contact with the woman who denied the claim. No further evidence was provided to support the man’s claim.
At 4 p.m., a 32-year-old Marshfield woman reported that she had been receiving multiple messages from unknown numbers over the past two days, regarding an ex-friend. The police officer attempted to contact the unknown harassers who did not answer. The Marshfield woman has since blocked the numbers.
Rear-ending ends with a punch
At 10:17 p.m., a Marshfield woman reported that she had been rear-ended by an unknown driver in a white car. The passenger in her vehicle, a 24-year-old Neillsville man, approached the driver after the incident and when he went up to the driver’s window was punched in the face. The unknown driver then took off. No damages were reported and the man did not want to press charges.
Mailbox hit and run
At 10:03 a.m., a Marshfield man reported that sometime over the night someone had hit his mailbox post, causing damage. The mailbox itself was not damaged, and the man was unsure about the landscaping. No suspects at this time.
Garage damaged by hit and run
At 11:49 p.m., a Marshfield woman reported that an unknown vehicle hit a utility trailer that was parked next to her residence. Tire marks in the snow proved the unknown vehicle was leaving a nearby driveway, but went off the road and struck the trailer; this caused the trailer to be pushed into the Marshfield woman’s garage, causing damage to the siding on the garage. The trailer did not have damage. No suspects were reported.
Two arrested after officer discovers drug activity
At 12:35 p.m., a Marshfield police officer went to a Marshfield residence to return a cell phone that had been involved in a previous investigation. Upon entering the residence, the officer discovered illicit drug activity. After being granted a warrant for the residence, the police officer arrested a 31-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman in connection with the drug activity.
