Columbus makes a run on Colby

MARSHFIELD – The Columbus Catholic boys basketball team made a run on the Colby Hornets, coming off the Cranberry Classic tournament in Wisconsin Rapids.
The Dons secured a 45-26 lead at halftime, before closing the deal on the Hornets, 77-49, on Nov. 27 at Columbus Catholic High School.
Leading the scoring for Colby was Connor Jeske with 10, followed by Alex Schmitt with nine.
For Columbus, Ethan Meece led with 19, while Jarred Mandel had 16. Bryce Fuerlinger followed with 13 and Noah Taylor had 12.
The Dons will next face Spencer, at Spencer, on Nov. 30, while the Hornets will face Owen-Withee at home that same night.
