Ruth A. Kubs, 97, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Atrium of Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at St. John’s Catholic Church with Reverend Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation will take place from 9:30 am until service time at church on Wednesday. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Ruth was born on June 13, 1921 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Edward and Angelina (Benter) Faber. She married Thomas E. Kubs on June 29, 1946 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Marshfield. He passed away on November 7, 1995.

She worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory, as a partner to her husband, Tom, as a cheesemaker and later at Northern Wire in Merrill. Ruth enjoyed outdoor activities, bird watching, her dogs, bingo and country music. She belonged to the St. John’s PCCW, Snowmobile Club and Gleason Good Timer’s Club. Ruth and Tom loved helping at the Catholic Church in Gleason, Wisconsin, where they retired. Their family and friends were always welcome at their house, and they had many enjoyable visits and gatherings with them through the years.

Ruth is survived by her sisters, Jean Claybaugh, Grace Kubs, Bernice Welch and Betty Trudeau, brother, Robert Faber, and sister-in-law, Angeline Scherr, all of Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Russel Faber, in-laws, Lucille Faber, Sylvester Kubs, Reverend Ralph Claybaugh, DuWayne Welch, Robert Trudeau, Wenzel (Marcella) Kubs, Elroy Kubs, Helen Kubs, and Robert Scherr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Ruth’s name to St. John’s Catholic Church.
