WISCONSIN RAPIDS – A 24-year-old Nekoosa woman will stand trial for the August 2017 death of a Marshfield man.

Taylor Owczynsky is facing homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and homicide by use of a vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration charges in the vehicular death of 21-year-old Tyler L. Manthe.

The charges stem from a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 13 near Evergreen Avenue in the town of Saratoga. Investigators determined that a southbound vehicle, driven by Owczynsky, crossed over the center line, striking a northbound vehicle, driven by Manthe.

Manthe was airlifted to the Marshfield Medical Center with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead.

According to court records, a blood draw taken from Owczynsky following the crash determined that she had a blood alcohol concentration of .15 percent.

Owczynsky is out on a $25,000 signature bond. Her jury trial is set for May 15.
